Anxious
After dinner tonight, we took a nice long walk. Angie rode in her wagon with Mommy Dolly and Angie Dolly. We stopped for ice cream at the seasonal shop (thank goodness it was open).
As we headed home, we took the long way and the light quickly faded. Chas and I joked about darkness "falling"--Boom.
Angie was not amused. She kept saying "We have to get home before we get lost in the dark." We tried to reassure her that we knew the way home, but she wasn't buying it.
She isn't afraid of the dark. She really isn't afraid of much, but she did not like walking outside at night with no sense of how near or far home was. Of course, there aren't many of us who like to feel so adrift in the world.
