Twinkle Twinkle
Angie has heard "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" essentially since the day she was born. She still loves it and she has recently taken to doing little hand movements to mimic the stars twinkling.
On Saturday, her Daddy was very involved in some home repair so we decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner out. When we returned home it was very dark. Our street has no lights so you can see the stars very clearly considering we're within the Cleveland Metro Area.
We pointed out the stars to her and she tilted her head back and started making the "twinkling" movements with her fingers, which actually looks as though she is trying to perform rapidly complex mathematical calculations using both hands. She had a broad smile on her face and she sang a little bit of the song to the stars.
The best thing about being a parent is the beauty of these little moments in each day.
