Fall Festival Fun

Angi's school had a fall festival last night.

Imagine a crowded, noisy gymnasium, filled with games of chance and skill. Then visualize a tiny girl in a Supergirl costume, racing from game to game for the sheer thrill of victory (she has the arms in a "v" above the head gesture down to an art). She fished, tossed footballs, beanbags and pumpkins. There was a golf game which resulted in a hole in one (assisted by her Dad who was intent on teaching her how to swing properly--she's never too young to prepare for a scholarship). There was a duck pond with ducks, whales and beavers. She amazed some of the middle school boys running the games by actually tossing a football through a bicycle tire after playing catch with him for the first few tosses.

She earned lots of cheap plastic consolation prizes and special blue tickets which could purchase better prizes.

She did the cakewalk twice before I reminded her that she doesn't like cake.

Then she did it again for the joy of dancing exuberantly in a circle then dashing for a chair.

The night ended with a bag of popcorn and a run through a maze in the dark.

Angie loved every second of it. She's already planning for next year's festival.

I'm a little concerned about the duck pond. LOL
Does Grandma Pat get pictures of Angie & Kian in their costumes? hint; hint.
